Hello, friends welcome back to my second story in the Animated Series of Flutter Widget. My first story on Animated Align received a lot of appreciation in terms of reading. Around 2K views and 1K reads within a week and a small celebration for being on the first page of Google’s search. Yay!😁

What is Animated Container?

Well, I am sure you know what a Container widget is, it has basic properties like height, width, background colour, padding, borders, shape and much more, you can read in detail about it in my previous article specifically on the Container widget.

Now, Animated Container involves changing of the above properties mentioned of the Container widget over a duration. You can animate colour, size, border, shape, changing its properties from old to new and animating the change of properties. Animated Container has implicit animations. I know I haven't mentioned about implicit and explicit animations in my last story so I am writing about it below just to understand what it really means and not going into many details. …

I received a lot of appreciation from the readers for my past stories that I posted on Medium on Flutter widgets. I wrote mostly on the most common commonly used widgets to build a Flutter app. If you have the basic knowledge of those widgets then it becomes easier for anyone to start building an amazing application in Futter.

Now Flutter has animations also, by using animated widgets you can create great fun-filled animations in your application.

What is Animated Align widget?

Animated Align widget automatically transitions its child’s from one position to another position over a given duration.

Let’s go over the constructor…

AnimatedAlign(
alignment: Alignment.right,
curve: Curves.easeInCirc,
heightFactor: 0.0,
widthFactor: 0.0,
duration: Duration(seconds: 3),
child…

Scaffold or staging in general terms is a temporary structure used to support work or workers and materials during construction or maintenance of a building or a bridge or any other man-made structure. It consists of one or more planks of convenient size and length with various methods of support depending on the form or use. Each Scaffold is individually designed to suit a particular environment.

A programmer’s wife sent him to a grocery store, her instructions were: “ Buy butter! see if they have eggs if they do… buy 10” So he bought 10!

The button is the most important component in any UI of an application. Whole interaction depends on how the buttons are placed and what kind of buttons are used. Before the smartphone days, we had physical number buttons and letters associated with each number button. It was convenient in those times to type long text messages but then came the Blackberry. Oh! …

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Flutter Community for adding me as a writer to their publication, I posted my last article on TabBar & TabBarView under Flutter Community publication and I received a lot more exposure to this article than previous ones that I had posted earlier. …

Hello readers, a couple of weeks back one of the readers commented on my story asking me to write about TabBar and TabBarView widgets. So here it is, we will be talking about these two widgets and also we will be discussing the DefaultTabBarController and TabController as well.

If you are coming from Android Development you might agree with me on this that creating Tabbed layout in Android is not as easy as it is in Flutter. I am an Android Developer as well, and around 7 months back I started with Flutter development, well I struggled a bit at the start but when you compare it to Android development it is very easy to learn and I was actually zapped by the customizations you can do in Flutter. …

Number 10 is afraid of Number 7, do you know why? you might have to read my story to know the answer. 7 is my lucky number and this is my seventh story on medium, so let’s get on with it.

Welcome back to the 2nd part of my story on Flutter Boxes. We are going to discuss another 5 types of Box widgets in Flutter. FittedBox, LimitedBox, PlaceHolder, RotatedBox and DecoratedBox. I would like to add 1 more widget to the list the Spacer, though it doesn’t end with a box as its suffix but falls in the same category. …

We are going to talk about boxes today. Real use case of a box, a box is used for storage, for safekeeping, to organize, to move items from one place to another, children use boxes to show their creativity and people use a stack of boxes to climb also.

In the world of programming, a box is used as an analogy to explain variables. While I was learning JAVA this is how it was explained to me. A box itself is a variable data type. Then you need to name the box, which is the name of the variable. …

This is my 5th article on Medium and 5 is a recurring number, every time you multiple 5 by 5 and then again with 5, the number 5 always stays, endlessly. It is consistent so would I like to be and I am trying to do so. I just need a little help from you readers to read what I write and tell me how I am doing by leaving a few comments and suggestions.

So what are we going to talk about today? We will be discussing the Stack widget, along with the Positioned widget because Stack needs Positioned widget to position its children on its vertical and horizontal axis. With the Positioned widget, it becomes really easy to arrange children inside the Stack. …

I read a few articles and saw tutorial videos as well on Row and Column widgets, I was actually surprised that none of them has mentioned about Flex along with Row and Column widgets. I might have missed while googling it, but hey who goes beyond the first page on the google search.

So I would like to clear out the air, I am not copying, pasting words and sentences from other articles, I do read it though, just to know what has been already talked about and how can I be different, whatever I write here is all my work and whatever code that you see is what I experiment with and then write it here. …
